My name is Grace Barnett, and I am a senior in high school in the suburban Boston area. I have always loved creative writing, particularly fiction. Writing can be a solitary endeavor, and I have learned to appreciate the importance of developing a supportive writing community. Over the past few years, I also have felt increasingly that our generation has the potential to combat divisiveness in our country: I believe we are in a unique position to connect with and learn from one another. I am hoping that, through SCRIIBE, we can take one step to come together through our shared love of writing.
My creative writing experience includes attending the Sewanee Young Writers' Conference at the University of the South and writing for/serving as Editor-in-Chief of my school's literary magazine, No Parenthesis.
I am grateful to the professional writing instructors and English teachers who provided guidance and advice to make the launch of SCRIIBEp possible!
Caroline is a current junior attending high school in Boston. Last year, she helped lead SCRIIBE by running the poetry portions of each workshop.
Caroline is an avid reader and writer of both poetry and fiction. Her favorite book is Lewis Carol's Alice in Wonderland!
